In the end, the dissertation aimed mainly at retracing the development of an emerging film industry that witnessed many upheavals since its early days. What could be concluded is the fact that the cinema industry in Lebanon has witnessed glorious moments through individuals that believed in the seventh art and tried to establish strong basis for its development in Lebanon. Their achievements, however, remained individual attempts that could not establish a film industry. The 1960’s were the only point in time that witnessed the emergence and settings of a Lebanese film industry existing with all its components but the achievement did not last long. From the pioneers in the field, to the Lebanese intelligentsia to end up with the current generation of filmmakers one could simply talk about prominent individual Lebanese filmmakers.
