1999 (Rome)    GIBSON – Al Essa Company

In 1999, after having left Orbit, I was asked to return to the company to host “The Box of Dreams” a monthly live show transmitted on Orbit’s Promotional Channel. This was the biggest promotional campaign on a satellite TV channel, with valuable prizes and more than 400 thousand entries received for the final draw.

My special guests were the famous Saudi actor Khaled Sami, and Orbit ESPN Sports’ commentator Yasser Ali Deeb. For the first time in the Middle East, the biggest give away cash prize was a Million Saudi Riyal. There were also Mercedes cars, diamond necklaces, and over 200 home appliances amongst the prizes. The draw took place on a monthly basis from the studios in Rome, in a relaxed atmosphere, with special inserts about music, travel and theatre. It was a truly heart warming experience talking to the winners of the prizes. “The Box of Dreams” was a dream alike live show…
