2003 (Dubai) UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship / DIMC

From rallying to offshore racing, in 2003 and just a month after the UAE Desert Challenge, I discovered the water sport world in the DIMC (Dubai International Marine Club) where I was the press officer and responsible of the press room for the Final Heat of the 2003 UIM Superfund Class 1 World Powerboat Championship held for the second consecutive year in Dubai. It gave me a new insight into one of the fastest water sport racing by working with DIMC’s professional organisers, meeting the Class 1 teams of world offshore racing in the wet pits, organising the pre-event press conference on board Zaabeel boat, interviewing drivers and throttlemen and being the MC of the prize giving ceremony which was one of a kind held in Le Meridien Mina Seyahi.
